J.J. Padilla

It all begins with an idea, and having the will to execute an idea will take you to the places you only dreamed of. A native of Laredo, Texas, J.J. Padilla relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 2020 with his wife, Dr. Garcia Padilla, after obtaining his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education & Trombone Performance from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. J.J. is currently in his fifth year as a public school educator in Edgewood I.S.D. J.J. is currently obtaining his Master’s of Music with a concentration in Wind Band Conducting from the University of Texas at El Paso. J.J. founded the San Antonio Trombone Choir in the Spring of 2025.

Raymond Sifuentes

Raymond Sifuentes is a music educator, performer, and composer based in San Antonio, Texas. He is a native to the San Antonio area, having grown up in and around the city. In 2022, he graduated with his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio. It was there that he studied tenor trombone under Dr. Steve Parker. He currently serves as the Director of Bands at Medina Valley Middle School and is a published composer with Alfred Music Publications.

Bret Kelley

Bret Kelley is a bass trombonist who graduated from East Texas A&M University in 2022 with a degree in music education. Originally from northern Texas, he taught privately in Plano ISD before moving to Jourdanton, Texas, where he currently works as a band director.

Ryan Williams

Ryan Williams is currently the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Jazz Studies at John Paul Stevens High School in San Antonio, Tx. Ryan has a Bachelors of Music Education from Louisiana State University where he studied Trombone under Steve Menard (Currently at UNT) and Hana Beloglavec (Currently at FSU). Ryan is a proud Native of Baton Rouge, LA where he performed professionally and in groups such as the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, LSU Premiere Wind Ensemble, LSU Premiere Symphony Orchestra, and LSU Premiere Jazz Ensemble. In his free time, Ryan enjoys traveling with his wife, Emma and spending time with their two dogs, Koda and Lady!
